Roslynn Mauskopf
Is a
federal judge
for the
United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York. She joined the court in 2007 after being nominated by President
George W. Bush.
Mauskopf graduated from
Brandeis
with her Bachelor's degree in 1979 and later graduated from
Georgetown Law
with her
J.D. Degree
in 1982.
Mauskopf began her career as a Assistant district attorney in the
New York County
District Attorney's Office from 1982 to 1995 before becoming State
Inspector General
for the State of
New York
from 1995 to 2002 before being nominated by President George W. Bush as
U.S. Attorney
for the
Eastern District of New York
from 2002 to 2007.

January 9, 2007, to a seat vacated by
David Trager. Masukopf was confirmed by the U.S. Senate on
October 4, 2007
on a majority voice vote and received commission on
October 18, 2007.
